Analyst
Valeria Bleymann is responsible for managing all of the finances associated with the Foundation’s grants. This includes reviewing grant budgets and work plans for accuracy and appropriateness, preparing grant agreements and contracts, and ensuring financial reports are complete. Additionally, Valeria monitors and audits the financial performances of the grants to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the grantees complete their deliverables in a timely fashion.
Valeria has extensive experience in accounting. Prior to joining the Foundation, she was a Revenue & Balance Sheet / Hydrocarbon Accountant at the multinational energy company Premier Oil Aberdeen, where she managed accounts receivable, recorded all bank transactions, and maintained the cash books. Valeria’s six-year tenure at Accenture Aberdeen, the major oil and gas operator in the North Sea, included roles as a General Accounting Operations Analyst and Joint Venture Asset Accountant.
Valeria earned Higher National Diplomas (HND) in Accounting and Travel and Tourism from Aberdeen College, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Tourism Management from Robert Gordon University. She is fluent in English and Russian.
Originally from Estonia, Valeria lives in Scotland.
