provide direction on the fastest ways to reduce smoking
In collaboration with others, the Foundation works to define which interventions will accelerate declines in adult smoking and to make recommendations that will lead to the end of cigarette use. This is done recognizing that countries at different levels of economic development will need different solutions and that advances in behavioral science and technology can play a key role in smoking harm reduction.
As part of this work, the Foundation supports academic research to identify regulatory changes that will be needed to accelerate declines in smoking. And the Foundation plans to develop private-public partnerships to harness the combined capabilities of players committed to accelerating the end of smoking.
