The Foundation for a Smoke-Free World invites private sector firms as standalone applicants or lead entities in partnership with research institutions, civil sector entities, and other interested entities to submit proposals that present viable commercially driven solutions aimed at transforming smallholder agriculture in Malawi.
The Foundation’s Agricultural Transformation Initiative (ATI) aims to provide catalytic grant funding to entities that come forward with solutions in the following thematic areas: (1) tech-enabled smallholder extension services; (2) access to markets for specific value chains; (3) business models for improved nutrition and food security; and (4) off-farm enterprises and support services. The ATI is seeking to catalyze and participate in creating a favorable environment for expanding opportunity for smallholder farmers.
The ATI will receive, review, and respond to applications on a rolling basis until the round closing date. The expected turnaround time for decisions is 4 to 6 weeks from the time an applicant receives a confirmation of submission.
Proposals must be submitted through the online application form found here. Only applications submitted through this form will be considered.
You may save a started application at any time by using the Save & Finish Later button at the end of each page. If you do, please use this link to return to the log-in screen to access the saved form.
