“We are a group of teens on a mission, a total expedition,
We are a group of Toronto high school students that work with TeenNet on analysing and discussing topics surrounding tobacco and globalization. Since March 2002 we have looked at a wide range of international tobacco issues. In particular we have investigated three key topics: international marketing to women and children, the economic impact of tobacco, and the use of Western images to promote tobacco sales overseas. In order to take action on these issues, we decided to develop a website to help spread the word and educate other young people. We also developed an interactive youth-focused workshop that we have presented at various youth conferences. We look forward to more opportunities to present our workshop, and to improve our ability to take action on global tobacco issues.
Latest Project! Check out our Public Service Announcements (PSA) Smoke Free World partnered with Charles St. Video (www.charlesstreetvideo.com) to create these PSA’s. We learned all about how to make a video and now we want to show the world. Enjoy! Smoke Free World (Low bandwidth version,, WMV format) Smoke Free World (High bandwidth version,, WMV format)
